WHHS vs. Dorman
First game of the season! I was a few minutes late getting there because of the rain delay at the SC State vs. Wofford game. Some maintenance guys were very helpful, and led me through the locker room, and right down the big hill to the field. Wow, Dorman looks like a college stadium! It was really nice!
I was still using the Sigma 120-300mm 2.8 I used at the soccer game, and shooting football was so much easier! I also had my second camera with a 24-70mm 2.8 slung on my side in case action got really close. I ended up only using it for some photos of the cheerleading team, and a few sideline photos.
During half time, I had the opportunity to chat with the new principal at Wade Hampton, Dr. Carlos Grant who is a really nice man, and I’m excited to see what he’s doing for Wade Hampton.
Although it was a loss for WHHS, they played well. The new head coach Travis Miller is all in, and has been working with these young men for months. He inspires them, respects them, and genuinely cares for each one of them. The moral of the team is at an all time high.
